Dynagard™ Blue
Dynagard™ Blue Environmental Wire Rope Lubricant
Dynagard™ Blue is an Unleaded Environmental Wire Rope Lubricant. This coating is non-sheening and has excellent resistance to softening under severe working conditions, It is water-resistant and performs at the highest level in extreme pressure applications. Dynagard™ Blue is compatible with all Kirkpatrick Wire Rope Lubrication Systems in applying product under pressure as well as manually.
The viscosity and slickness stay alive through the Wire Rope as the strands move during load-bearing operations. This attribute helps with continuous redistribution to cover any internal strand areas that may have been missed during the initial lubrication process.
Benefits of Using Dynagard™ Blue
Dynagard™ Blue has outstanding structural and chemical stability. An unleaded extreme pressure additive provides exceptional protection against wear and shock loads. Additional additives enhance resistance to water wash-off, protection against fling-off at high Wire Rope travel speeds, and long service in a high- temperature environment.
It won’t corrode steel and copper-bearing alloys and is compatible with conventional Seal materials.
Recent LC-50 Bio-Aquatic toxicity tests using sensitive marine organisms performed by independent test laboratories have shown it to have over 250,000 PPM LC-50 rating making it possibly the best LC-50 value of any Wire Rope Lubricant marketed in the world today.

VGP Compliant
It’s LC-50 rating is 250x higher than the minimum 1,000 PPM requirement.
- Approved 2006 QPL MIL-G-18458-D Type I (NSN No. 9150-01-520-8116)
A sample of Dynagard™ Blue Environmental Wire Rope Lubricant was used for a product testing study to determine the toxicity of a part per million dosages of product to the Americamysis Bahia (Marine Invertebrate) over a 90-day period. Tests were run on day 1, day 7, day 15, day 30, day 60, and day 90. This test was designed to verify the maximum length of time that the Dynagard™ Blue would maintain its optimal LC50 levels over 90 days. Previous tests showed the products to have over 25,000 PPM at 48 hours. An LC50 test was then performed for 90 hours; the results were 56,000 PPM. Then a third biodegradation test was performed at 90 days. The LC50 results were over 90,000 PPM.
